Return on spend

3 min

You don’t pay a subscription. You pay as sales happen, and your dashboard describes that spend the way you’d think about ad spend: what you spent, and what it brought back.

Spending

Spending · pay as sales happen means your spend grows with the revenue we bring back. Nothing is charged until your texts bring in sales, and tax and shipping are never charged. Your exact rate is in the order form you agreed to.

The return

Return on spend on Overview is your attributed revenue divided by what you were billed. It’s the return you actually got, worked out from real orders and real invoices. Billing shows the same for the last 30 days.

It reads a little higher than product sales alone would give, because revenue includes tax and shipping while the fee never does.

Reading it well

  • Use 30 days or more. One big order can swing a week either way.
  • Compare it with the period before. The card shows the change against the previous period of the same length.
  • Look at the weekly chart on Billing: attributed revenue next to billed, week by week. The two lines should move together.
  • Compare flows under Flows by revenue on Overview. Review requests don’t create sales, so judge them by review links sent instead.

When it dips

A dip usually means fewer conversations, not worse ones: a flow switched off, a payment hold, or quiet weeks for your store. Check Campaigns for statuses before anything else.
